INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SPECIALIST

POSITION SUMMARY/SCOPE
We are seeking an Information Technology Support Specialist in our Corporate Office to act as a vendor liaison for various systems used in the residential appraisal business as well as support end-users in our corporate offices in Little Canada, MN and remote workers across the United States. This position reports to the IT Manager who works with all departments to support a user base of approximately 300 appraisers and staff in addition to maintaining our backend software and systems.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS) Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school, 2 year or 4 year college work or equivalent experience required, degree preferred.

  • Related Work Experience

  • Help desk or end-user support
  • Experience specifically dealing with customer service
  • Experience with desktop and knowledge of basic computer hardware
  • Documentation skills

  • Other Skills, Abilities and Requirements

  • Well-developed computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook;
  • Very good written, verbal and documentation skills;
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound independent judgment, and work effectively with team members;
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to create orderly systems and processes;
  • Ability to listen to user problems and respond with timely and useful solutions;
  • Knowledge of the appraisal industry a plus

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    Position requires primarily sitting and occasional walking and standing; it requires heavy use of computer as well as seeing, hearing and talking. Occasionally this position requires up to 20 pounds of weight be lifted.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic)

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as liaison between end-users and Global DMS, which includes attending status call, administering the system, testing interfaces, entering fee tables, creating reports such as staff production and panel performance, automating reports and implement enhancements to improve system efficiencies.
  • Oversee the content and use of SharePoint, updating information based on business need. Assist in the administration of Salesforce including reporting, projects and responding to tickets from the Salesforce Case Manager.
  • Provide basic support for our user base and respond to requests from outside technology firm, Cyber Advisors, for additional systems support. Move equipment and track assets. Oversee the use of the Shoretel phone system, which includes troubleshooting phone issues, reporting, identifying call patterns and working with managers to increase efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.
